2015 Summer Camping
The weather has finally begun to turn itself around and that means its time to get outdoors! Lake County offers a variety of locations that are hospitable for summertime activites, such as summing, hiking, and camping. If you are ready to rough it and lace up your boots, then come visit these locations for some fun summer camping.
At Fish Lake Beach (Volo), you can truly “Stay. Play. Getaway.” Fish Lake includes campfire rings, picnic tables, water, and amp electrics. Fish Lake Beach’s 2015 camping season runs between May 1st and October 15th. If you would like to make a reservation, you can call 847.546.2228. This number is for those with both in and out of season reservation requests. Another great location to enjoy a night of camping is at Illinois Beach State Park located in Zion. The park has approximately 240 Class A Premium sites with functioning elecvtricity, showers, and sanitary facilities. Similar to Fish Lake, Illinois Beach State Park accepts reservation from May 1- September 30. In order to secure a space for you party, please visit www.reserveamerica.com.
