Lakewood Forest Preserve in Wauconda will open for rainbow trout fishing on Saturday, April 5, following the release of roughly 600 pounds of trout in Banana Lake. The highly anticipated reopening of Hastings Lake Forest Preserve in Lake Villa is complete, following extensive public access improvements and restoration of natural areas within the 270-acre preserve.
